A need emerged in industrial areas for the organization of a group that would test safety measures of software systems. The various R&D allowances of the Budapest Tech Polytechnic Institution (BMF) served as a good opportunity for setting up a team. Parallel to this, also rooted in BMF, there was another group being formed which has gained experience in the field of automatization, especially in tasks and processes based on microcontrollers (including development and design throughout small-volume production), as well as the development of unique tools. The five specialists of these two main lines have soon found each other, and in order to meet growing market demand, they put their knowledge together by forming PentaLab Ltd.

Both staff and assets have been improved constantly since the foundation. Within the framework of continuous professional trainings, several of our employees have obtained ISTQB CTAL diplomas and CTFL ISTQB certifications.

The MSZ EN ISO 9001:2009 standard requirements concerning quality management were introduced in January, 2011. Since, our company’s business and technical processes have been conducted accordingly, in the spirit of offering quality service.

Discovering and supporting young talents in these fields is one of our key priorities, thus our company provides opportunities for college students to complete an internship at PentaLab, providing candidates high-standard professional supervision and consultation hours in the process. For those most able candidates PentaLab offers a long-term working contract, too.
